Fit and Happy Bracchi Italiani (with friends) on a day out!

Hello and Welcome to the Spettacolare Website! 

When I was trying to choose a kennel name that described the Bracco Italiano, one word that kept springing to mind was "spectacular" and I finally came up with the name "Spettacolare".  Translated from Italian to English "Spettacolare" becomes "Spectacular".  

We're (me and the dogs!) situated in a small coastal village in West Fife, Scotland.  Our cottage overlooks Torry Bay, a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to its abundant wildlife and breath-taking scenery.  We're delighted to live here and never tire of the view from the front window; the landscape changes twice daily with the tide!

I'm a firm believer in ethical breeding and that means breeding healthy, happy Bracchi Italiani that are fit for function and fit for life!  My aim is simple: that is to provide prospective puppy owners with a puppy that will grow up to be everything they dreamed it would be in terms of health, conformation and temperament.  In short, I aim to provide my puppy owners with a dog that will continue to enthrall them for all it's wonderful life - 12 to 14 years! 

In order to achieve my aims, I only breed from health tested parents (including hips, elbows, eyes and liver/kidney function) who have proved themselves in both the show ring and the field.  I aim to breed the best and therefore will only breed from parents who are as close to the breed standard as possible and who are enthusiastic workers.
