Sweet Ruby
Born: 5th July 2006

Ruby is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever had the privilege to meet - and own!!!

Ruby's now almost 6 years old and it's difficult to believe that she has been in my life for that length of time.  She was my first Bracco Italiano and is a real mummy's girl!

Ruby never fails to delight everybody she meets with her gentle ways and understated humour!!  Yes, she has a wicked sense of humour under that serious looking face!!

As soon as Ruby was big enough to reach the counter surfaces in the kitchen she learned the art of thieving.  She's now an expert.  It's a very niave person who leaves the kitchen whilst preparing food when Ruby's around.  The contents of the dinner you were so looking forward to cooking and eating will be gone on your return!!!  This is the reason that all counters in my house are kept clear of food at all times - and all bins are kept behind cupboard doors!!

Having said that, you can forgive Ruby almost anything because of her kind and gentle demeanour.  She's a real friend to my elderly neighbour and next door's toddler grandchildren.  The kids love to visit to give her a hug and Ruby loves to visit to finish off anything they may have left lying around that's edible!!!  It's a win/win relationship where all are happy.

Ruby has never been shown due to the fact that she has an overshot jaw, but she works in the season.  She's not the best retriever and is definitely not a waterbaby (she's much too posh to get wet!) but boy can she hunt!!!  She certainly shines in that area and is poetry in motion when quartering ground.
